The main theme of snowboard-oriented workouts is balance. I have developed these workouts from personal trainer advice and my own expertise as a professional snowboarder. Do the exercises AT YOUR OWN RISK! I like having someone to spot my form; I'd recommend working out with a partner to make sure you're not hurting yourself.
The focus of these workouts is to develop strength while always engaging your core. I do high reps with lower weight in order to produce lean muscle. I'm not focused on building "big" muscles per say because this can throw off your balance. Rather, I focus on toning your muscles, reducing fat and always always ALWAYS keeping the core at the center of your workout. I can guarantee that if this is followed you will notice significantly stronger abs.
Finding the Arrowhead
An arrowhead is a rare stone created by the natives of the mountains, canyons and rivers of the US. While it would be a thrill to finally find one, the focus is on discovering the mountains with my mobile truck home and snowboard. Moreover, I, Blake Hamm, will share stories from a snowboarder/traveler perspective on the search for the next adventure, community and the Arrowhead. We will be exploring Health, Simplicity and Expression on the road.

3 Food Groups You Should Avoid
"What do we need to survive?"
I like to ask myself this question when I'm stressed, get injured snowboarding or don't find time to be active. On the bare bones level all we need is to be active, have relationships, drink water, sleep and eat. These are crucial to our success in achieving goals.
Moreover, I decided to focus on what I was eating when I watched Nicholas Muller's film "Fruition". He made it clear that we need healthy foods to have a clear mind and a mobile body. It's almost like a car: You can put crappy oil in it, but it will run better and last longer if you use premium oil. So here are the 3 food groups that we can easily exclude from our diets in order to keep our engines running better and longer.
DIY: Truck Camping
Truck camping is an underappreciated way of living a nomadic lifestyle. While it has some logistic problems, it is easy to build and more of a "sleeper" set up: you can go incognito in common places.
Moreover, storage and customization is the biggest theme in a mobile home build. I will address some ideas to maximize storage around the wheel wells and ceiling in a truck bed. I will also stress the importance of customizing because everyone has different equipment and there's no right or wrong way. What I did was make some cubies and utilize cargo netting. Below shows what my storage looks like.

How the Pacific Crest Trail Made Me a Minimalist
A plethora of ideas and inspirations have come about from the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) or any thru-hike really. For me, outdoor skills were built, friendships were made and obstacles were overcome. One takeaway stuck and has changed my lifestyle for good: minimalism. The image to the right summarizes this ideology.
Before the hike, I watched the movie "Minimalism: A Documentary" by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus. (link to their movie: Minimalism: a Documentary About the Important Things) . By chance, I watched this movie just in time to live a minimalist existence. However, after finishing college and moving all my things back to my hometown of Shoreline, WA, minimalism hadn't become an inherent part of me.
